Den blev overtaget af Erick Lykke, som havde den fra 1771-1782, derefter James Davidson fra 1791-1801<del style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">. Lars Bache fik på et eller andet tidspunkt facaderne på forhus og baghus omsat til grundmur. Ved den lejlighed forsvandt de svære træskodder ud mod gaden sammen med to store stenbænke ud for porten. Lars Bache må have tjent godt. Det forlyder, at huset rummede hele to køkkener, hvoraf væggene i det ene var dækket af kobber- og messingtøj, kun til pynt. Tilbage var arbejdet med at holde fri for støv, pudse og polere.
