Sandagerhus havde fået sit navn efter den nærliggende [[Sandagergaard]] i [[Saunte]], hvis markjorder nærmest plantagen blev udstykket og solgt til landliggere, der ønskede at bygge sommerhus i passende afstand fra Hornbæk.
